Watsonville Community Hospital is pleased to welcome our new Chief Nursing Officer, Mary Straley, RN, MSN, CCRN, CNL.
Mary comes to Watsonville Community Hospital with a wealth of healthcare knowledge and more than 20 years of nursing experience. In the last 10 years she has had progressive leadership experience with Stanford Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, Sidra Medical and Research Center in Qatar, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and Good Samaritan in San Jose, where she recently served as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer.
Mary has a high level of competence and knowledge of care coordination, integration, and evidence-based practices. She received her BSN from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and her MSN from San Francisco University in California. She’s a member of the AACN, AONE, and Honors Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International.
In addition to being a competitive triathlete, Mary volunteers her time with an international organization that provides surgeries to people in need.
