VISITING POLICIES & HOURS
We welcome patients’ friends and family
Come on in.
We believe that having loved ones nearby lifts spirits, brightens moods and improves healing. However, everyone’s safety, there are a few things to consider when coming by to say hello.
Visiting Policies
- Visitors are allowed during regular visiting hours (8 am to 8 pm)
- It is the patient’s right to limit visitation if desired.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and are allowed at the discretion of the nursing staff.
- Visitors are to maintain a quiet and restful environment.
- After 8 p.m. visitors must check in with security at the back entrance.
- Visiting restrictions may apply if they pose a threat to patient safety. The Nursing Supervisor and Director and/or Administrator on call must be notified prior to restriction.
- Do not enter a patient’s room that’s posted with an isolation or visitor restriction sign without first checking with a nurse.
- Smoking — including E-Cigarettes — is not permitted anywhere in the hospital.
Intermediate Intensive Care Nursery (IICN)
- The parent/guardian will determine who may visit.
- A parent/guardian must be present and accompany the visitor. If this is not possible, the Nursing Supervisor or Director must approve the visitation.
- Only two visitors are allowed at the patient’s bedside at a time.
Critical Care Unit (ICU)
- Only two visitors are allowed at the patient’s bedside at a time. More visitors are allowed during end of life or critical situations.
Same Day Surgery/Recovery Room
- Only two visitors are allowed at the patient’s bedside, before and after surgery.
Emergency Room (ER)
- Only two visitors are allowed at the patient’s bedside at a time.
Pediatrics Unit – 3rd Floor
- Parents are encouraged to visit and participate in the child’s care at any time. We recommend only one parent stay overnight.
Maternity Center- 2nd Floor
- Each new mother determines whom she would like to have visit and hours.
